We have collectively
created a ceaseless clamour —
a continual cacophany —
of noise,
discord,
dissonance,
disharmony,
distraction,
tension,
anxiety,
and
addiction,
in which it is a formidable feat indeed
for us to sit still long enough
to truly hear
the Still Small Voice of the Ineffable —
the Voice
of our own
True
Essential
Nature.
Yet, if we truly desire
to earnestly embark
upon the spiritual journey —
to truly experience
the pure, simple joy and childlike wonder of Be-ing,
we must first learn to descend
from the head into the Sacred Space
of
the
Pure
Heart
Mind
and there take refuge —
to stop
be still
quiet the discursive intellectual mind —
the wandering mind —
and enter into the Sacred Stillness —
the
Deep
Silence.
For whilst we remain
attached —
addicted —
to the artfulness
and artifice
of the false, acquired, conditioned, conceptual sense of self
with all of its contrivations and machinations —
thoughts will always be whirling about
like driving snow in the winter
or clouds of mosquitos in the summer —
obfuscating
the
Way of Nature —
the
Nature
of
the
Way.
For indeed…
Real
Silence
is our first language —
a language we have largely forgotten —
a language
that unlocks
the
mysteries
of
the
universe.
May your every breath be the Infinite,
Ineffable,
Unfathomable
Peace
that transcends
all rational comprehension.
Not two.
